A roll call was conducted.

Shawn Chretien, Director of Water & Wastewater Services presented an electronic presentation regarding updates to the Greater Sudbury Source Protection Plan under the Clean Water Act.

  • The following resolution was presented:

    THAT the City of Greater Sudbury endorses the Greater Sudbury Source Protection Plan amendments, as outlined in the report “Update to Source Protection Plan”, from the General Manager of Community Infrastructure, presented at the Operations Committee meeting on October 15, 2025.

  • The following resolution was presented:

    THAT the City of Greater Sudbury increases the speed limit on M.R. 15 to 70 km/h from M.R. 35 to Belisle Drive, as outlined in the report entitled “M.R. 15 Speed Limit Review.”, from the General Manager of Community Infrastructure, presented at the Operations Committee on October 15, 2025;

    AND THAT the City of Greater Sudbury directs staff to prepare a by-law to amend Traffic and Parking By-Law 2010-1 to implement the recommended changes.

  • Rules of Procedure

    Councillor Parent moved to amend the resolution.

    The following amendment was presented:

    THAT the resolution be amended to read as follows:

    “THAT the City of Greater Sudbury increases the speed limit on M.R. 15 to 70 km/h from M.R. 35 to 1 km west of Martin Road and from 150 meters east of Menard Street to Belisle Drive, as outlined in the report entitled “MR. 15 Speed Limit Review”, from the General Manager of Community Infrastructure, presented at the Operations Committee on October 15, 2025;

    AND THAT the City of Greater Sudbury directs staff to prepare a by-law to amend Traffic and Parking By-Law 2010-1 to implement the recommended changes.”

    THAT the City of Greater Sudbury removes the all-way stop at Dell Street and Morin Avenue and that Morin Avenue be controlled by stop signs facing northbound and southbound traffic, as outlined in the report entitled “Removal of All-Way Stop - Dell Street at Morin Avenue”, from the General Manager of Community Infrastructure, presented at the Operations Committee meeting on October 15, 2025;

    AND THAT the City of Greater Sudbury directs staff to prepare a by-law to amend Traffic and Parking By-Law 2010-1 to implement the recommended changes.

Rules of Procedure 

Councillor Parent moved to defer Item 6.3 to the November 24, 2025 Operations Committee meeting as this was brought forward by Councillor Leduc who was absent during the meeting.
