A roll call was conducted.

Joe Rocca, Director of Infrastructure Capital Planning, and LyAnne Chenier, Active Transportation Coordinator provided an electronic presentation regarding the complete street guide update for information only. 

David Shelsted, Director of Engineering Services provided an electronic presentation regarding the 2021 accomplishments and 2022 construction forecast for information only.

Bailey Chabot, Senior Planner provided an electronic presentation regarding amendments to the right of way trees by-law (2011-243).

The following resolution was presented:

    THAT the City of Greater Sudbury directs staff to prepare a new by-law to prohibit and regulate the destruction or injury of street trees as outlined in the report entitled “Amendments to the Right of Way Trees By-law (2011-243)”, from the General Manager of Growth and Infrastructure presented at the Operations Committee meeting on June 20, 2022.

The following resolution was presented:

    THAT the City of Greater Sudbury directs staff to prepare a business case for consideration during the 2023 Budget process to fund a mattress and box spring diversion program, as outlined in the report entitled “Mattress and Box Spring Diversion Program”, from the General Manager of Growth and Infrastructure, as presented at the Operations Committee meeting on June 20, 2022.

The following resolution was presented:

    THAT the City of Greater Sudbury adopts the Automated Speed Enforcement warrant as described in the report entitled “Automated Speed Enforcement Program Update”, from the General Manager of Growth and Infrastructure as presented at the Operations Committee Meeting of June 20, 2022.

The following resolution was presented:

    THAT the City of Greater Sudbury prohibits parking on the north side and south side of St. Agnes Street from Brabant Street to 170 metres east of Branbant Street as outlined in the report entitled “Parking Restrictions – St. Agnes Street, Azilda”, from the General Manager of Growth and Infrastructure, presented at the Operations Committee meeting on June 20, 2022;

    AND THAT the City of Greater Sudbury directs staff to prepare a by-law to amend Traffic and Parking By-Law 2010-1 in the City of Greater Sudbury to implement the recommended changes.
