For the purpose of convenience and for expediting meetings, matters of business of repetitive or routine nature are included in the Consent Agenda, and all such matters of business contained in the Consent Agenda are voted on collectively.


A particular matter of business may be singled out from the Consent Agenda for debate or for a separate vote upon the request of any Councillor. In the case of a separate vote, the excluded matter of business is severed from the Consent Agenda, and only the remaining matters of business contained in the Consent Agenda are voted on collectively.


Each and every matter of business contained in the Consent Agenda is recorded separately in the minutes of the meeting.

This report and presentation provides information on the development of an enhanced Occupational Health and Safety Management System branded as the iCARE Project to address concerns related to Health and Safety and provide information on initiatives that have commenced.

Council allocated a budget of $750,000 and $950,000 in 2022 and 2023 respectively for two pumper fire trucks. The lowest bid from Request for Tender FES23-160 surpassed this budget. This report requests approval to proceed with the acquisition of one pumper fire truck and presents an alternative option should Council wish to proceed with the acquisition of two trucks as planned.

A By-law of the City of Greater Sudbury to Delegate Authority Regarding the Development of the Art Gallery of Sudbury /  Greater Sudbury Library Project


This By-law replaces By-law 2017-181 as amended by By-law 2022-32 to reflect a change in the delegation of authority from the Executive Director of Strategic Initiatives, Communications and Citizen Services to the Chief Administrative Officer and to remove references to the Synergy Project.

A By-law of the City of Greater Sudbury to Amend By-law 2010-100Z being the Comprehensive Zoning By-law for the City of Greater Sudbury


Planning Committee Resolution #PL2023-98


This amending zoning by-law rezones the subject lands in order to permit an automotive service station having an accessory convenience store and car wash on a northerly portion of the lands along with two general commercial buildings containing a mix of restaurant and retail store land uses on the middle and southerly portions of the lands. The development proposal also includes three drive-through service facilities associated with the restaurant and car wash uses. The amending zoning by-law also implements a holding provision (ie. “H56”) on the lands that can only be removed once adequate municipal sanitary sewer infrastructure is available or will be available to service a general commercial development. The holding provision (ie. “H56”) applicable to the lands is not proposed to be removed at this time - E.L. Demattia Investments Ltd., 2123-2177 Long Lake Rd & 250 St. Charles Lake Road, Sudbury.
