A roll call was conducted.

Melissa Riou, Senior Planner and Miranda Edwards, Project Manager provided an electronic presentation regarding the employment land strategy implementation for Lasalle/Elisabella including an overview of the infrastructure upgrades, construction phases, risk assessment and mitigation, and the communication plan throughout this project.

  • The following resolution was presented:

    THAT the City of Greater Sudbury directs staff to prepare a by-law to amend the Sewer Use By-law (2010-188) to include the definition of a “multi residential building” as a residential building containing 11 or more dwelling units as outlined in the report entitled “Review of test maintenance hole requirements under the Sewer Use By-Law (2010-188)” from the General Manager of Growth & Infrastructure, presented at the Operations Committee meeting on June 17, 2024.

    THAT the City of Greater Sudbury directs staff to provide exemptions to the requirement to install a test maintenance hole to commercial establishments which could be considered low risk on a case-by-case basis, as determined by the General Manager of Growth & Infrastructure as outlined in the report entitled “Review of test maintenance hole requirements under the Sewer Use By-Law (2010-188)” from the General Manager of Growth & Infrastructure, presented at the Operations Committee meeting on June 17, 2024.

The following resolution was presented:

    THAT  the City of Greater Sudbury extend the winter sidewalk maintenance pilot project for the 2024-2025 winter season which will maintain the three additional seasonal sidewalk plow operators who will be dedicated to performing winter sidewalk maintenance continually throughout the week at a total cost of $285,000;

    AND THAT the cost to fund the pilot project in the amount of $95,000 for 2024 and $190,000 for 2025 be funded from the Winter Control Reserve Fund, as outlined in the report entitled “Winter Control Updates – March and April 2024”, from the General Manager of Growth and Infrastructure, presented at the Operations Committee meeting of June 17, 2024.
