David Knutson, Manager of Traffic and Transportation, provided an electronic presentation regarding the Traffic Signal System Renewal Project for information only.

Renaming Solid Waste Advisory Panel

  

  • The following resolution was presented:

    OP2025-01
    Moved ByCouncillor Sizer
    Seconded ByCouncillor Fortin

    WHEREAS the Solid Waste Advisory Panel name does not describe the primary objectives of the panel;

    AND WHEREAS the term solid waste does not resonate with the public to attract members and is not easily relatable as an area where citizens can make a positive impact for their community;

    AND WHEREAS the Solid Waste Advisory Panel members voted and reached consensus to rename the panel;

    THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT staff be directed to present a by-law for Council’s consideration to amend By-law 2023-04 regarding Committees of Council and Advisory Panels, to rename the panel as the Waste Reduction Advisory Panel.
