WHEREAS the Solid Waste Advisory Panel name does not describe the primary objectives of the panel;


AND WHEREAS the term solid waste does not resonate with the public to attract members and is not easily relatable as an area where citizens can make a positive impact for their community;


AND WHEREAS the Solid Waste Advisory Panel members voted and reached consensus to rename the panel;


THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT staff be directed to present a by-law for Council’s consideration to amend By-law 2023-04 regarding Committees of Council and Advisory Panels, to rename the panel as the Waste Reduction Advisory Panel.

This report provides information regarding an overview of winter maintenance activities for the 2024/2025 winter control season and includes the month of November 2024.
