The presentation by Brian Harding, CEO and Chief Librarian, will provide information regarding the role and responsibilities of the Greater Sudbury Public Library Board and the CEO.

At this point in the meeting, the Chair of the Closed Session, will rise and report. Council will then consider any resolution(s) emanating from the Closed Session.

Council will consider, by way of one resolution, Planning Committee resolutions, which will be posted online following the meeting. Any questions regarding the resolutions should be directed to Councillor Cormier, Chair, Planning Committee.

For the purpose of convenience and for expediting meetings, matters of business of repetitive or routine nature are included in the Consent Agenda, and all such matters of business contained in the Consent Agenda are voted on collectively.


A particular matter of business may be singled out from the Consent Agenda for debate or for a separate vote upon the request of any Councillor. In the case of a separate vote, the excluded matter of business is severed from the Consent Agenda, and only the remaining matters of business contained in the Consent Agenda are voted on collectively.


Each and every matter of business contained in the Consent Agenda is recorded separately in the minutes of the meeting.

This report provides a recommendation regarding the annual write off of Provincial Offences Fines that have been deemed to be uncollectible.

A By-law of the City of Greater Sudbury to Confirm the Proceedings of Council at its Regular Meeting of May 9, 2023

A By-law of the City of Greater Sudbury to Amend By-law 2010-214 being a By-law of the City of Greater Sudbury Respecting the Supply of Water, the Management and Maintenance of the Waterworks Systems of the City


This amending by-law clarifies the right of the City to replace meters, remotes and appurtenances at any time, requires owners to provide access for that purpose, and allows the City to turn off water if there is a refusal to co-operate to allow the replacement of the meter, remote or appurtenances to proceed.  It also incorporates some changes of a housekeeping nature.
