Motion for Deferral

Councillor McIntosh moved to defer this item to the Operations Committee Meeting of September 20, 2021 in order to allow the department to complete the report.

  • The following resolution was presented:

    THAT the City of Greater Sudbury approves the winter maintenance plan for the active transportation network as outlined in the report entitled “Active Transportation Winter Maintenance Plan 2021”, from the General Manager of Growth and Infrastructure, presented at the Operations Committee meeting of August 16, 2021.

  • Rules of Procedure

    Councillor McIntosh presented the following amendment:

    THAT the City of Greater Sudbury amends the resolution to include the following words:

    “with the exclusion of the sidewalk located on the south side of Morris Street between house number 425 and house number 397” after the words “active transportation network”.

    THAT the City of Greater Sudbury approves the winter maintenance plan for the active transportation network, with the exclusion of the sidewalk located on the south side of Morris Street between house number 425 and house number 397, as outlined in the report entitled “Active Transportation Winter Maintenance Plan 2021”, from the General Manager of Growth and Infrastructure, presented at the Operations Committee meeting of August 16, 2021.

    THAT the City of Greater Sudbury directs staff to prepare a business case for consideration during the 2022 Budget process to host one Open Streets event in 2022, at a total cost of $150,000 on the proposed event route, as outlined in the report entitled “Open Streets Event Update”, from the General Manager of Growth and Infrastructure, presented at the Operations Committee meeting on August 16, 2021.

    NAYS: (1)Councillor Kirwan
