This presentation outlines the roles and responsibilities of members of Council, statutory officials and staff according to the Municipal Act, 2001.

This presentation is an initial Council transition planning step designed to follow and build on governance orientation material presented by the CAO.  Its focus is on tools for direction and control of the organization and ensuring a productive culture within the Council chamber and among Council-Staff relationships in carrying out the desired directions of Council.  This session will include an initial review of governance education material as presented by Governance Solutions Inc. and a facilitated dialogue about the key concepts they offer.
