Public Input Session - Homelessness Consultation
(REPORT TO FOLLOW)
(This Public Input Session will invite input from members of the public with lived experiences.)

Attendance in person will not be permitted. This meeting will be held electronically. Persons wishing to speak will be required to register in advance of the meeting.

Instructions for Registering to speak at the Public Input Session

  • Email or call Clerk's Services at [email protected]/705-674-4455 ext. 4209. The deadline to register is 12:00 p.m. on January 27, 2021.
  • When emailing or calling Clerk's Services, please provide your name (first and last), email address in order to send you an invite to participate in the electronic meeting via WebEx, and indicate who you represent (i.e. community member, business, agency, grassroots organization or person with lived experience).
  • Any materials such as pictures or a PowerPoint presentation MUST be provided to the Clerk's Services office by noon on Friday, January 22, 2021 (any material provided will become part of the public record, may be viewed by the general public and may be published, and included on the city's website).

  • Written Submissions

  • The survey is available online at https://overtoyou.greatersudbury.ca/. Paper copies are available at local shelters and warming stations or by calling 311. Paper copies will also be available at all libraries and Citizen Services Centres once on-site access resumes following the province-wide shutdown. The deadline to submit feedback is January 30, 2021.
  • Rules for the Public Input Meeting

  • When joining the meeting, please place yourself on mute.
  • Those persons who have contacted the Clerk’s Services Office to have their names placed on the Speakers’ List will go first, in the order that they appear.
  • When your name is called please unmute yourself, then state your name, identify the organization you are speaking on behalf of, and wait for direction from the Chair.
  • In order to allow as many people as possible an opportunity to speak, speakers are limited to a maximum of five (5) minutes for their remarks. Speakers are only able to address City Council once.
  • Please address all your remarks through the Chair of the Meeting.
  • At the end of your presentation, please place yourself back on mute, any questions will be directed to you through the Chair.
  • Members of the public are asked to respect meeting decorum and to remain on mute when they are not actively participating.
