Resolution to move to Closed Session to deal with one (1) Personal Matters (Identifiable Individual(s)) item regarding a performance review and one (1) Acquisition or Disposition of Land item regarding the Event Centre in accordance with the Municipal Act, 2001, par. 239(2)(b) and (c).

For the purpose of convenience and for expediting meetings, matters of business of repetitive or routine nature are included in the Consent Agenda, and all such matters of business contained in the Consent Agenda are voted on collectively.


A particular matter of business may be singled out from the Consent Agenda for debate or for a separate vote upon the request of any Councillor. In the case of a separate vote, the excluded matter of business is severed from the Consent Agenda, and only the remaining matters of business contained in the Consent Agenda are voted on collectively.


Each and every matter of business contained in the Consent Agenda is recorded separately in the minutes of the meeting.

This report provides a recommendation regarding Healthy Community Initiative (HCI) funding requests. By-law 2018-129 requires Council’s approval for all eligible HCI Capital fund requests exceeding $10,000 and Grant requests exceeding $1,000.

This report provides a recommendation and background information with respect to a development cost sharing application to facilitate a proposed commercial development at 507 Kingsway by widening the Kingsway to provide a center left turn lane for access onto Kitchener Avenue. The application also includes boulevard and road rehabilitation and storm sewer improvements on Kitchener Avenue.

This report provides information regarding the City’s Population, Household and Employment Projections (the Projections) to 2051 based on data from the 2021 Census. The City of Greater Sudbury uses the Projections to inform financial, capital, service level and policy planning, including the upcoming development charges background study.

This report provides a recommendation regarding a change to the City’s Contract Award reporting requirements. In addition, information has been provided for the Contract Awards $100,000 or greater awarded from January 1, 2023, to March 31, 2023, including previously omitted Contract Awards from past reporting periods.

This report provides information regarding the City of Greater Sudbury’s (CGS) Streamline Development Approval Fund (SDAF) initiative, which utilized Provincial funding to modernize, streamline, and accelerate residential development approvals.

This report provides an overview of development charges as well as the steps planned for the 2024 Development Charges Background Study and related by-law to be approved by City Council before June 30, 2024.
