For the purpose of convenience and for expediting meetings, matters of business of repetitive or routine nature are included in the Consent Agenda, and all such matters of business contained in the Consent Agenda are voted on collectively.


A particular matter of business may be singled out from the Consent Agenda for debate or for a separate vote upon the request of any Councillor. In the case of a separate vote, the excluded matter of business is severed from the Consent Agenda, and only the remaining matters of business contained in the Consent Agenda are voted on collectively.

This report provides a recommendation regarding traffic control at the intersection of Edna Street at St. Albert Street in Chelmsford.

This report and presentation provides an overview of winter maintenance activities for the 2022-2023 winter control season up to and including the month of January 2023.

This report and presentation provides a recommendation regarding amendments to the Traffic and Parking Bylaw 2010-1 to enable the designation of newly implemented active transportation infrastructure and highlights 2022 policies, initiatives, events and infrastructure achievements that support walking and cycling in Greater Sudbury.

This report provides a recommendation regarding a proposed amendment to the Motorized Snow Vehicle By-Law 2016-230.

As per Council Resolution# CC2022-177, this report provides a recommendation regarding the watermain replacement and road rehabilitation project on Sparks Street from Barry Downe Road to Roy Avenue.

As presented by Councillor Sizer: 


WHEREAS the speed limit along most of Falconbridge Highway is 60 km/hr, with the exception of a small section from 300 m Northeast of Madison Avenue to 300 m North of Maley Drive which is 80 km/hr;


AND WHEREAS this change in speed limit along that short corridor only serves to create inconsistency and confusion along Falconbridge Highway;


THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Greater Sudbury directs staff to review the posted speed limit of Falconbridge Highway from 300 m Northeast of Madison Avenue to 300 m North of Maley Drive, and report back to the Operations Committee with a recommendation by the end of the second quarter of 2023.
