  • The following resolution was presented:

    CES2023-06

    THAT the City of Greater Sudbury, authorizes hiring in accordance with the terms and conditions of the 2023/24 Long-Term Care Staffing Increase Funding Policy, to achieve service level targets for direct care to residents as prescribed by the province with no impact on the property tax levy;

    AND THAT staff undertake such hiring of specified front-line professionals as required at Pioneer Manor, with regular reporting to Council, as outlined in the report entitled, “2023-24 and 2024-25 Long-Term Care Floor Hour Staffing Increase”, from the General Manager of Community Development, as presented at the Community and Emergency Services Committee meeting on June 19, 2023.

    THAT the City of Greater Sudbury approves the naming of the playground area ‘United Way Playground’, as outlined in the report entitled “Moonlight Beach Park – Playground Naming”, from the General Manager of Community Development, presented at the Community & Emergency Services Committee meeting on June 19, 2023.

    THAT the City of Greater Sudbury authorizes hiring in accordance with the terms and conditions of the 2023-2024 CWELCC implementation to achieve service targets for the direct support to the early learning and childcare sector prescribed according to the Ministry of Education Child Care and Early Years Guidelines as outlined in the report entitled “Children Services – Two Additional Coordinator Positions”, presented by the General Manager of Community Development at the Community and Emergency Services Committee meeting on June 19, 2023.
