For the purpose of convenience and for expediting meetings, matters of business of repetitive or routine nature are included in the Consent Agenda, and all such matters of business contained in the Consent Agenda are voted on collectively.


A particular matter of business may be singled out from the Consent Agenda for debate or for a separate vote upon the request of any Councillor. In the case of a separate vote, the excluded matter of business is severed from the Consent Agenda, and only the remaining matters of business contained in the Consent Agenda are voted on collectively.


Each and every matter of business contained in the Consent Agenda is recorded separately in the minutes of the meeting.

This presentation by Ian Wood, Executive Director of Strategic Initiatives, Communications and Citizen Services provides an update on the large projects.

A report to follow will provide an update on service changes and community response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The City's Integrity Commissioner has provided the attached report containing his conclusions regarding a complaint received by him alleging a breach of the Code of Conduct by Councillor Montpellier.

This report provides a recommendation regarding the Automated Meter Infrastructure (AMI) Project Update and Service Contract Approval.

This report to follow provides an update on the status of the Greater Sudbury Event Centre Project at the Kingsway Entertainment District. The next steps to resume the project are outlined and a recommendation for delegated authority for the procurement of professional services to advance the project in a timely manner is provided for Council’s consideration.

Planning Committee Resolution #PL2021-80

This by-law rezones the subject the subject property in order to permit an elementary school and day care centre on vacant lands zoned for future development - Georgette Paquette - Municipal Road 80, Val Therese.

As presented by Councillor Vagnini:

WHEREAS on December 15th, 2020, City Council, by way of resolution CC2020-315, defeated the motion requesting an evaluation of the Project Now proposal, by way of a tied vote;

AND WHEREAS Councillor Vagnini, as a result of technical difficulties he experienced during his participation in the virtual Council meeting of December 15th, mistakenly thought he was voting on a deferral of the motion, which resulted in him voting “No”;

AND WHEREAS Councillor Vagnini fully intended to vote “Yes” to the proposed motion;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that resolution CC2020-315 related to a request for an evaluation of the Project Now proposal be reconsidered.
